In taking hold of eternal life and the blessings of salvation in Christ Jesus, you must boldly exercise your faith in God’s Word, knowing that everything is subject to His Word. God always loves His kids to boast in Him. You must learn to boast in God through the vocalizing of your faith.
When you learn to recognize the greatness and power of God within you, you will never be broken by sickness or disease. This is what the great men of old knew, which made them fearless in the face of adversity.
Study the ministry of Jesus and you’ll find that He always spoke with boldness, particularly when He confronted demons and diseases. Jesus was so bold that, the people marveled at Him, and demons trembled at His presence.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12). In Luke 4:36, the Bible says, “And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.” This was because Jesus not only knew who He was, He also knew the One who was in Him. This was the same consciousness that Moses had when he stood before Pharaoh. He was conscious of the presence of God with him and was not afraid (Exodus 5). As much as Pharaoh hated Moses and wanted to do away with him, he couldn’t order his death. Moses had the Spirit of Dominion.
Goliath was the champion of the Philistines, but David stood before him with such boldness that it got him angry (1 Samuel 17:42). The Bible records that David stood before him with a sling and five smooth stones and declared, “…Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel” (1 Samuel 17:45-46).
Those words enraged Goliath, and when he took one step against David, David ran toward him and let fly with his sling. The shot was a guided missile and it went straight into Goliath’s forehead. And everything happened just as David had said.
This is the kind of boldness and audacity you need in your life. When the devil tries to attack you with sickness, stand against him in the Name of Jesus and declare, “I refuse to be sick! No weapon formed against me shall prosper; therefore, this weapon of sickness has no power over me. I dwell in health and strength, in the mighty Name of Jesus!”
When you consistently act and talk this way, you create a spiritual force f ield around you that the devil cannot 02 | Healing to the Nations Goliath was the champion of the penetrate.
